Anthony founded SafeTraces, Inc. in 2013 and is the co-inventor of the company's technology. Anthony has held executive positions at a number of Fortune 500 companies and several start-ups with three successful exits. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University in Athens, Greece.

Ulrike Hodges, PhD

VP, Business Operations

Ulrike is a founding member of SafeTraces and responsible for business operations, go-to-market and marketing strategy. Ulrike spent over 10 years in the private equity environment, holding executive management positions in several early and mid-stage technology companies. Ulrike holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.A. in International Studies from the University of Washington, Seattle.

Brandon Martin

VP of Sales, Safety Assurance

Brandon became part of SafeTraces in December 2018 and leads sales of both safety assurances solutions, saniDART and goDART. Brandon has a strong entrepreneurial, business development and sales and marketing background, with over 15 years of experience building teams, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. Brandon has co-founded four companies since 2005.

Dan Reighn

VP of Sales, Source Assurance

Dan joined SafeTraces in January 2019 and heads up sales of the source assurance solution, miniDART. Dan has over 12 years of experience selling traceability and other supply chain solutions, as well as SaaS and cloud software solutions to growers and processors in agricultural sectors, including fresh produce and seeds. Dan graduated from the University of California, Berkeley.

Damon Cole, MSME

VP, Platform Development

Damon joined SafeTraces in August 2018 and heads up the engineering group that develops all of SafeTraces platform technology. Damon has successfully brought 14 major new leading-edge products to market in the high technology arena, managing major develop programs at Fortune 500 companies including joint ventures and international collaborative projects. He holds a B. S. in Mechanical Engineering at LeTourneau University and completed his graduate work at San Jose State University.

Phil Arnold, MBA

VP, Manufacturing

Phil is responsible for manufacturing and supply chain operations. He has deep experience in multidisciplinary, distributed technology development and management. Phil previously held executive positions at Endless and Finesse Solutions and launched several award-winning technology products. Phil holds a M.B.A. from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and a B.S. in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.

Erik Malmstrom, MBA

Director, Business Development

Erik joined the SafeTraces team in January 2018 and is responsible for driving the company's commercial strategy, developing new customer markets, and establishing strategic partnerships. Previously, he served in management positions in food and ag tech, and international trade and development at Cargill, Farmers Business Network, and the White House. He received a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a joint M.B.A. and M.P.P. from Harvard Business and Kennedy Schools, and was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar at Makerere University in Uganda.

Quin Chou, MS

Manager, Research and Development

Quin Chou became part of SafeTraces in May 2018 and serves as its R&D Manager, responsible for managing the assay development team and advancing cutting-edge research. Quin brings 30 years of experience in biotech/ pharma, R&D, operations, sales and management. He holds several patents and has published widely. He started his career as part of the Nobel-prize winning at Cetus, where PCR technology was invented. Quin holds a M. S. in Microbiology from the University of California, Berkeley.
